I love being a dentist!
I’ve wanted to be a dentist since I was 7 years old. That desire inspired me to leave home in Los Angeles to attend Boston University, where I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Chemistry. I continued on to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where I earned my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2003. I ventured back to Los Angeles, for my husband and I to settle down near our families, and completed a post-graduate program in Advanced General Dentistry at UCLA School of Dentistry. UCLA gave me more intensive training, provided me with hands-on experience in restoring dental implants, and triggered my interest in esthetic dentistry.
In 2004, I started working in a large group practice in the South Bay. It was here that I became the dentist I am today. I enjoy all aspects of dentistry & find that’s what keeps dentistry interesting for me. At the same time, I noticed back then an inclination toward cosmetic dentistry and I wanted to enhance those skills. So, in 2009, I continued my education and completed a 10 month comprehensive Esthetic Residency at Esthetic Professionals in Tarzana, CA. This is where I learned even more about cosmetic dentistry through extensive hands on practice in porcelain veneers, crowns, inlays, onlays, dental implant restorations, teeth whitening, full mouth rehabilitation, and so much more. It’s through Esthetic Professionals that I realized the importance of formal esthetic dental training. Materials in dentistry are forever evolving and it’s important to have the knowledge and skill to evolve with these changes.
In 2013, with 10 years of dentistry supporting me, I opened “Dushane Dental Arts” with such enthusiasm and drive to take care of my patients! I love what I do, I believe in what I do, so it’s only natural that when patients are under my care, they get the quality care they deserve. I take pride in my work, listen to patients and their individual needs, and truly enjoy building a relationship with every patient to make them feel comfortable and happy to be part of my practice.
